Gurunpaga in September 2015, just before receiving her first payment from LEAP 1000, is sharing her hopes: “When I get enough money, my plan is to send all my children to school so that, one day, people will look at my children and say: ‘Is that a Gurunpaga child?’ That will be a proud day.”

Gurunpaga receiving her first electronic payment. Due to network issues, LEAP 1000 beneficiaries came to the district capital bank to collect their grants. Since June 2016, LEAP 1000 payments have been carried out electronically through biometric identification.
